Oh, wow! That is so cool. It always baffles me how artists are able to make sculptures like this out of random things. (I once saw a huge moose sculpture created from nails.)

Wow that’s just awesome. Whenever I see art that uses non-tradiational materials, I always have to wonder what that first idea must have felt like as it popped into the artist’s head. “I want to make a massive sculpture but what shall I use….ahh coathangers!”

In my art gallery, Carmen, I use coat hangers to display the art, hooking them over curtain tie-backs and then hanging the unframed paintings from them like a pair of trousers!
I guess I could hang a lot of my paintings on this gorilla, he would not look so pale then…

I am always amazed by the thought processes behind works of art like this. I mean, how does one get to this point. Do you wake up and go *hmmm all those wire hangers from the dry cleaners are taking up too much room in my closet, I really should do something with them, I know, I’ll make a gorilla*
okay, maybe not QUITE like that

Agree with everyone on how on earth artists get these kind of ideas! So ingenius… and to think of the patience involved is a lesson in itself!!!

Wow, a use for the breeding coat hangers in my cupboard. I never thought I’d find one of those. That’s awesome

wow, we face just incredible results when the routine things are showcased in freakish way.
David Mach’ s “hulky King Kong…” just put under a charm. Yet what was the goal of the sculpture? Is it not just a play with our emotions? Where does lead such art the viewer? Whom does it serve?
